WIAW "Summer Eats"

First of all, I realise it's 'sensible snacking month' on WIAW but for some reason lately I'm not very snacky. Which is both weird and great. Maybe it's because I'm keeping busy until meal time. You know somehow too preoccupied to eat?! So instead I'm going to share some of my favourite things that I've eaten lately with you. There are a few unpictured Subway's... I seriously think I have issues because on Monday and Tuesday I had Subway for Dinner twice in a row. Let's just say I'd be a pretty happy girl if I suddenly won a lifetime supply of subs. Oooh and while we are at it Costa Coffees. It seems like whenever I am shopping lately, I "treat" myself to one.

Lately, I am really trying to be mindful on when I am hungry and fuelling my body correctly. That's not to say there haven't been any treats recently because there has been plenty. I've been wanting "Ice Cream Van Ice Cream" for so long and on Saturday when the weather was beautiful I got it! It was delicious, not really necessary but I enjoyed it all the same.

So let's get this food party started!

Honey Nut Crunchy with Sunflower Seeds and Milk.

Porridge (made with milk) + Nutella.

Can't get enough of this one recently. It's shameful how many times I've had this for breakfast in the last week. I even had a second bowl for dinner on Monday :-( What can I say, the addiction is strong?!

These are the perfect amount. Good little bags to grab on the go.

Chicken, Tomato and Mayo on Toasted Wholemeal.

Cheese and Beans on Toast. A Simple Fave.

When it's warm meats and salads are a must.

Getting to eat outside is such a pleasure :-)

Snaps! A childhood favourite.

Gherkins, Beetroot, Corned Beef, Coleslaw and a Buttered Cob.

When it's nice, these types of plates are all I crave.

How do you celebrate?

1.When is your birthday?

It's just gone, June 4th.

2.Do you like to celebrate it or do you prefer to keep it quiet?

I like to celebrate it in some way. This year it was a bbq with my mom, bro, sis, nan and best friend. But I am going to Paris this coming Sunday and that was part of my birthday too. This year I left my teens so I wanted to do something big, and this was a perfect way to do it.

3.Have you ever had a surprise party?

Errm... no not that I can remember!

4.What sign are you? Does it represent you well?

I'm a Gemini like many of the people in my close family. Gemini is the zodiac of the twins, and I've always thought of it as having the best of two sides to my personality. But who knows. But I love horoscopes and finding out about my zodiac. I just find it really fascinating.

5.Do you tell the truth about your age?

I've just gone 20 and don't look my age, so I am forever getting ID'd. It's annoying now, but I think as I get older I'll value it instead.

6.Share your best birthday memory.

Wow, there are so many. But the ones I remember particularly are my birthday's at; 6 or 7, 10, 16, 17 and 20 (it was extremely warm and sunny and it made the day). The 6 or 7 birthday because I remember having loads of class mates over and a giant bouncy castle, which when your that age is brill.

7.Share a few item that could be on your birthday wishlist.

I never really want for anything. But my birthday gift to myself was Paris and I'd love to get a car!

8.What is your favourite kind of cake?

I'm not really a cake fan to be honest, but if I had to choose I would say Chocolate cake (plenty of chocolate frosting) and Cheesecake.

9.If you could be anywhere on your next birthday, where would you be?

Surrounded by family, friends and Italy. I really would like to travel around Italy exploring.

10. Do you make a wish when you blow out the candles?

I didn't bother having a cake this year, but if I did have one I would. Mind you, when I blow out normal candles I make a wish!

And The Week Begins Again

Happy Monday. The weather has been so beautiful over here lately. Good weather really does make things a whole lot better! I've always loved Summer and great weather, after all I am a June baby :-) But I love waking up in the morning to light flooding in through the windows. It just makes getting up a pleasure, rather than a chore.

At the weekend we went to Stourport, which is a little town not far away from where we live. We've been going there since I was little. Although the rides no longer look scary it's such a great day out, especially with good weather.

I've never been a fan of crazy golf I'll admit it, but yesterday a passion was ignited. Turns out I'm actually ok-ish! Who knew? I'm quite a competitive person anyways, and crazy golf was no exception. I admit it. I got a little too into it, and out of me, my mom and my brother, I won. I think it's a new summer favourite! Sadly I forgot to take photos, but we spent most of the time laughing at each others frustration.
