FMM #15

The Internet:

1.  Have you ever met anyone online before meeting them in person?

No, I have never met anyone in that way. But I guess I am definitely open to it!

2. What is your opinion on social media’s impact on our society?  Does it make life better or worse?

Hmm... I think my answer to this differs depending on what day you ask me. For me social media has definitely had its ups and downs, but only because of what happens also in real life. That people always want to spoil other peoples life's and other peoples fun, which just angers me beyond belief because I wouldn't dream of doing to anyone else what happened to me (I got hacked and threatened).

3. Do you believe that it’s possible to fall in love with someone that you’ve never met in person?

This is a hard one. I guess you need some kind of prove that this has happened to you, or that you've seen it happen to someone you know. I can't account or recount for either. But I guess you may fall for the idea of someone before you get to see if you feel the same way once meeting them in real life.

4. Do you prefer to shop in stores or online?

No, definitely not. For me nothing beats actually going to a mall or a high-street and actually shopping. It drives me insane when I have to order things online, especially clothes and shoes. Because if you have to pay up front and then they don't fit it's annoying. I am a big believer in trying before you buy and with online shopping you just don't get that. I am a store girl for sure, but it doesn't mean I don't occasionally purchase online. Usually because I don't have any other choice.

5. What blogging platform do you use?  (WordPress, Blogger, something else?)

I do use blogger, because I am not a whizz and I find it easier than wordpress but who knows in the future I could switch!

6.  Have you ever blogged for another site?  Would you?

I haven't but I would definitely love to in the forseeing future.

7. Do you use services like Netflix and Hulu?

I don't at the moment but during term time I definitely umm and arr about it. I guess it would be nice, maybe next term!

8. Would you prefer to get blog comments or to interact on twitter?

Blog comments for sure. I rarely use my twitter, which I keep meaning to change. I use facebook personally but although I like to use twitter I prefer following others, rather than tweeting myself.

9. Do you prefer to read books or e-books?

I have read a couple of e-books in the past, but I definitely prefer to have an actual physical book to read. Nothing beats that smell of a new book (or magazine, or textbook) either!

10. Share at least one experience that you would not have had without being a blog author.

I'm not sure, but I know that sometimes this little old blog is the only thing that keeps me sane and trucking along.

Well, I guess there we go for another week. I will hopefully get around to everyone elses this week.

Have a great start to the week :-D

A New Month, A New Start and With it New Challenges

I am struggling to believe it's already July. That's more than half way through the year! Why is time flying so quickly this year. I feel like everything is coming and going so fast. My birthday has past, Paris has gone, exam results are already back. Don't get me wrong it has been a great year so far and a lot of great things have happened, but it's all passing me by.

It will soon be September and before I know it I'll be back at Uni taking my last year, maybe ever, of academic classes. Which I really don't know how to feel about it. I knew it was going to be a big year, I just didn't realise how fast it would all go.

Anyways, before I get carried away with wishing the rest of the year goodbye here are my goals for July.

July Goals:

General;

+Getting research done for my Dissertation.
+Remaining positive and positive with my outlook (maybe doing activities to help this).
+Writing more Prose in general, practising ready for September.
+Start reading more (I have just started reading Bridget Jones' diary that was delivered on Saturday morning and I am already loving it! A little different, well a lot different to my last read 'The Help', but I already know I am going to love it. Although, I have watched the films so already know how it goes).

Diet/Eating Habits;

+Establish a good eating schedule.
+Create better eating habits.
+Keeping a better, more detailed diary of what I eat to see if there are any triggers for my problems.
+No junk snacks (Eat Fruit)
+Keep/Stay well hydrated.
+Eat as healthy and clean as possible.
+Watch portion sizes/ Weigh certain foods (to prevent going over board).

Exercise Habits/Goals;

+Aim to complete some form of exercise each day (could be yoga, could be running a mile on the treadmill).
+Keep it up, don't slack - it's all about getting into a routine.
+Push past my comfort zone.

In general I just want to make July a month of well-being, and make it all about looking after me and making sure I am doing good. I am a big believer in if you are not doing good then how can you expect yourself to help others. So, it's going to be about stripping back for me and trying to reclaim what I've had that has been successful for me in the past. But not just using that, bringing it forward  and building on it for the here and now. Taking away the struggles or niggles that I've had the previous month and re-painting my blank canvas, so that I become stronger again.

its a new month!

Happy First of July Everyone :-D

Daily #4 (Day in the Life)

Today is Sunday and it's been an odd sought of a day because it honestly doesn't feel like Sunday. Which I am hoping doesn't put me off for the rest of the week! But yeah, it has been a really chilled kind of a day. I got up late, didn't work out today but did mange to start reading my new book by Helen Fielding.

So far I am loving it, but I am only 64 pages in and although it's past midnight and I am typing this, I am going to stay up ten minutes longer after I have wrapped up these blog posts so I can read it.

For a few months now I have lost the spark I had, say back in March and I've basically spent the last few months trying to regain what I somehow managed to achieve back in March without little head way or success. So I am hoping July brings a return of fight, but I am still proud of the fact I have never really given up over these past few months even though I have struggled and times have been challenging. So for that I am proud, but now it's time to leave that and make my way forward once again to the light. I really want this month to be about, so Fingers Crossed.

Keep fighting

Daily Eats: 30/06

Half a small banana whilst I wait for porridge.

A 'naughty' handful of these as well.

I know I said I was over it, but I guess I'm not. Woke up craving it.

Slice of Wholemeal with Cheese Slice, Salad Cream and Salt + Vinegar French Fries.

I couldn't resist a packet of Pom Bear's, whilst dinner was cooking. Lookily they are only 75 cals.

Fresh Apricot - I've never tried fresh ones before but these were delicious!

In between these two I had my main meal, which was unfortunately unpictured. It was a Sunday Roast with Pork Steaks, Masses of different Veg and Potatoes + Gravy and Mint Sauce.

A Unsweetened Cappuccino to end the day, with a Kelloggs Nutri-grain Bar. New found favourite.

Daily Exercise: 30/06

Zero.

Today was actually a good day in the light of things. I know there wasn't any exercise, but there was plenty I got done including; reading a new book and writing a couple of chapters to a new story I am working on.

Tomorrow's not only a new day, it's a new month, so look on the brighter side, always.

Fingers Crossed.
