Friend Makin Mondays #3

Thanks to Kenlie for hosting. Go on over to her website and check out the link ups, or even answer the questions yourself :D

1. Did you watch the Oscars? If so, who did you enjoy seeing most?

I didn't! I used to love watching it when I was at home, but being away at Uni I miss out on all the award ceremony's though I managed to record a couple on Sky+. But I think if I record any more without being there to watch them my mom won't be very impressed in the slightest as they take up a lot of room. But I usually love seeing what everyone's wearing!

2. Do you drink meal replacement shakes, smoothies, etc?

I keep wanting to make and try smoothies and shakes, but I need to get the ingredients. I have the blender, and I keep saying that I need to try them because of my recent tummy problems. It's just getting around to it! Maybe, I should put it on my to do/ to try list for this week and report back how I get on?

3. Share one thing you have done to help someone in the last week?

God that's terrible I can't think of anything off the cuff. Hmm... I am sure I've probably done something. Brain-blank!

4. What is the tastiest thing you ate last week?

My homemade chilli - unfortunately I didn't take any pictures. I was clearly too hungry on both occasions ;D. Oh and these amazingly huge strawberries I got from Tesco. They were so naturally sweet. And they are all gone now :D

5. Think of one fun thing that you could do this week without spending any money to do it.

Go for a walk and discover new routes! Or phone my mom - it's been a while since we have properly chatted :D

6. Share one place that you've been to and would like to visit again.

Tunisia. We went there on holiday in September - it was my moms pick and she wanted to try something new. I was a little apprehensive. Not sure if I'd go back while the protests politically and religiously are going on, even though Tunisia is a large place, I just wouldn't feel safe. Although the flight wasn't too bad, getting into the country was a nightmare! So, I've made it sound like I wouldn't go back, but one day in the future I would definitely try it again.

7. Do you prefer Facebook or Twitter?

I have both (personally), but on Twitter I only have an account so I can follow others, whereas on Facebook I am able to stay connected with friends and family.

8. What is your favourite vegetable?

Hmm... not sure if I can name just one! Here's my top 5; Cauliflower, Sprouts, Potatoes, Cabbage and Sweetcorn. The two I tend to eat the most are Cauliflower and Sprouts because I throw them with a lot and add them to a lot of meals.

9. Share a goal that you have for the month of March.

I haven't actually considered any specific goals for March yet, though I've started making goals again every month to keep me working towards something . But I'll think about them and probably make a post Friday about them, also do a re-cap on February too. But I know a goal I really want to achieve is more exercise! I've been better this month, but I want next month to be even better :D

10. Share a quote that inspires you.

'It's not a bad life, just a bad day', this quote has kept me going over the last couple of weeks, and when you read or say it it puts things into perspective. I know I have woken up with a clean slate everyday or tried to. It's a good quote to remember through the tough times for sure!

Once again great questions, it really makes me look back and think.

Enjoy the week :D

  2. I think it's great that you set monthly goals. What do you do if you don't reach a goal that month? Does it get bumped to the next month?

    1. I must admit if I don't make them I do tend to get discouraged and not wanting to make future goals. But I am trying to keep it up as long as it motivates me this time :D And yes usually if I don't make a goal I end up re-accessing it, so it can be achieved at a later date. But I try to set my goals as realistic as possible, nothing I know is unattainable.
